Great location across the street from the Alamo and walking distance to the River Walk, Tower of the Americas, and numerous excellent restaurants. No need for a rental car. The property has been nicely remodeled and the rooms are clean, the bathroom spacious, and the bed very comfortable. We enjoyed the room!

conveniently located literally right across the street from the Alamo and not very far from the Riverwalk once you figure out where everything is. The staff was very kind and helpful. The room was nice and clean. The hotel is run like a well oiled machine with everybody doing their job, the complementary breakfast Buffet was nice. The gym had new equipment and was clean and included a peloton bike, which I really enjoyed. The valet parking for $47 a night was a better option than the public parking lot that’s $30 a night with no In-N-Out privileges.

The room was very nice. The bar tender was great and very friendly. Very close to the river walk, felt safe in that area. Police were present. Beautiful Hotel.

I loved the history behind the property, location, and the friendly staff. We even had one of the maintenance staff members give us a quick tour of the hotel and she showed and told us some of the history about it.

Room was smaller but had everything we needed. Bathroom was nice and the room was very quiet and private. Staff was very helpful and the valet service was great. Staff was very helpful and even had corkscrews to give away to open bottles of wine.

I love staying here. It’s a beautiful hotel and it’s very close to everything downtown. It’s always clean, cold, and the staff is super friendly and hospitable.

The hotel is iconic - if you are into history at all, then you have to look at this hotel which was built in 1926, and has served as many things including a hospital at one point. The location is perfect - right in front of the Alamo and so close to the Riverwalk. The staff are amazing - friendly and very helpful - including the front desk young man, the two chamber ladies that chatted to my parents and I as w waited for an elevator ( one broke while we were there for an hour or so) and the bartender. There was a breakfast included and it was actually really good - lots of fresh berries, melon, eggs, bagels, pastries, bacon, etc. My dad asked the server if she had any tangerines, she didn't, but she very kindly went and got cold oranges for him in the kitchen. The staff really is very kind and polite. All of them. The beds were really comfortable and the room was clean. Lots of towels.

Excellent location! Within walking distance to the Riverwalk, the Alamo, a beautiful Catholic church, and much more. The room was larger than your average hotel room, had comfortable beds and black out curtains, always a plus. Very quiet and clean!

The staff was exceptionally friendly and accommodating. Changing my room was a smooth and hassle free transaction. The location is unbeatable, being only a few feet from The Alamo and River Center Mall I was able to sightsee without running into crowds (also makes for a sweet breakfast spot eating my muffin in front of The Alamo cuz it's literally just a hop and a skip from the hotel) . The rooms were small, but for a solo traveler it was more than comfortable!
